PAGES' US and Swiss NSF grants renewed beyond 2014

Past Global Changes

The US National Science Foundation has confirmed its support for PAGES' activities until mid-2018, and the Swiss NSF, until the end of 2015 with an invitation to re-submit a proposal under Future Earth. PAGES is a core project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme IGBP and supports research aimed at understanding the Earth’s past environment in order to make predictions for the future. It encourages international and interdisciplinary collaborations and seeks to promote the involvement of scientists from developing countries in the global paleo-community discourse. Over 6,000 scientists from more than 100 countries around the world currently subscribe to PAGES. This growing community of scientists is conducting research within the PAGES sphere of interest. All scientists are encouraged to contribute to the PAGES scientific Foci and Cross-Cutting Themes, participate in PAGES workshops and publish PAGES-relevant products.
