The Swiss Commission of Phenology and Seasonality research (CPS) launches a prize of CHF 1'000 to reward young students, journalists or artists working in the field of Phenology.

The mission of the Swiss Commission of Phenology and Seasonality research (CPS) is to promote research and communication of all aspects of seasonality science to a larger audience. CPS specifically promotes young researchers. The Swiss competition of phenology and seasonality research is announced annually. We address students and scientists in the field of phenology or seasonality research dealing with timing aspects in the biotic and abiotic environment. Ongoing or finished projects (2 years after completion) are eligible to participate. We consider «Maturarbeiten» as well as Bachelor, Master's or Phd-Theses and other research paper from younger Post-Doc students. Moreover, we include media products and art projects that communicate phenology and seasonality research to a broader audience.

The price money is CHF 1'000.- and can be attributed to a single person or to several winners. The CPS supports with the price ideas and engagement to promote phenology research.

The winner of the 2019 competition will be announced at the annual Swiss Geosciences Meeting in Fribourg on November 23rd 2019.

The winner will have the opportunity to present a very short overview of the project for the Swiss geosciences community and the multi- and interdisciplinary symposium.

We invite all students, researchers, supervisors of PhDs, Master's, Bachelor and other research projects as well as journalists and artists covering phenology and seasons to submit their contribution. The work must have been finished between November 2017 and September 2019

Please send the following information until September 15th 2019 to sibylle.stoeckli@fibl.org and yann.vitasse@wsl.ch:
