The SQI vouchers support the use of existing infrastructures, platforms and services in Switzerland, fostering collaborations and accelerating innovation in the Swiss quantum ecosystem. Each voucher has a value of up to 50 kCHF, and applicants may submit up to two voucher proposals.

Projects funded under the 2024 Voucher Model Call (from December 2024 onward) are welcome to apply again. In such cases, applicants should clearly describe the added value that a new voucher would bring to their project.

The vouchers are intended for projects with a mid-range Technology Readiness Level (TRL) in areas such as

  • quantum communication,
  • quantum computation,
  • quantum simulation,
  • quantum sensing and
  • quantum metrology.

Proposals in connection with the following related fields are also welcome:

  • materials for quantum devices,
  • control hardware,
  • systems engineering,
  • quantum theory and
  • computer sciences.

Applications must be submitted electronically via the application portal by midnight on 12 August 2026.

For detailed eligibility criteria and funding conditions, please consult the call paper and the SQI funding regulations.
