Higher Education Summit 2020

Lieu de l'événement

Universität Bern

Together with the Universities of Bern and Lausanne, the COPERNICUS Alliance and td-net, saguf is organising the "Higher Education Summit 2020" from 31.8.-2.9.2020. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the conference will be held virtually. Among other things, virtual workshops (solution rooms, co-creative labs), a virtual poster market plaza and even virtual excursions are planned, whereby the focus will be on interaction among the participants. The keynote speeches will be pre-recorded and accessible so that exciting discussions can take place live. The presentations, discussions and workshops will focus on "transformative learning for sustainable development", a topic that saguf and especially the working group education for sustainable development have been working on intensively for several years!

The saguf Annual Conference 2020 will take place as part of the "Higher Education Summit 2020" on Tuesday, 1 September from 17h15-18h30 at the University of Bern (followed by an aperitif). The saguf Annual Conference will be opened by Elizabeth Lange (https://www.elizabethlange.ca). She is a leading expert on transformative learning in the field of sustainable development and has more than 35 years of experience as an educator and facilitator of transformative learning. Striving for excellence and innovation in teaching, she has taught in the formal education sector (high school, college and university) as well as in nonformal contexts (community organizations).

For participants attending both the conference and the saguf annual conference, we will reserve rooms at the University of Bern and set up a "saguf-hub @ #HES2020", which will provide sufficient space and time for exchange. We will strictly adhere to the then valid regulations concerning Covid-19. Participation in the lecture and discussion is also possible online, so that all conference participants can discuss together. Corresponding access information will be provided upon official registration. Approximately ten days before the event, we will write to all registered participants and ask them to indicate whether they wish to participate on site or online.

Conference and meeting will be in English, but it will be possible to ask questions about Elizabeth Lange's presentation in German. For both events together, saguf members will benefit from a reduced fee of CHF 50, non-members pay CHF 100. All should register at the following web link: https://www.higher-education-summit-2020.com/registration. First you have to create an account and then you can register as a saguf member or as regular participant. In case of problems please contact HES2020@cde.unibe.ch directly.

The saguf annual conference is financially supported by scnat and sagw.
